Rapid Notion - Catapult Incisions
Dutch Incubus fans pay attention!!!! Your prayers have been answered, and the answer is called Rapid Notion. With their loud alternative music they can compete with the international topbands like Incubus, At.The.Drive.In, The Used and Finch. Not my style of music at all, but Ill stick to the facts.
Rapid Notion sounds like a combination of emo and rock with a hint of indie and grunge here and there. With a singer that sounds almost identical to Brandon Boyd of Incubus you make a good start. The two guitar players combine the power of their distorted riffs well with the emotional melodic parts. Im just not really impressed by their bass player and their drummer. They sound all right, but not great, if you know what I mean.
The songs vary from heavy poprock to emotional acoustic parts which is, according to their biography, just like life itself. Fast, quiet, slow, heavy and it can all change in a second.
Thats actually all I can say about the album, because its not my style at all as I mentioned earlier. So just go and check it out, if youre into Incubus, youll probably like this too.
